In January 2007, The Gurdwara committee of The Sikh Temple, Leeds took the amicable step to adhere to the Sri Akal Takht Sahib Sandesh of 2006.
Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar personally wrote to the Gurdwara committee to stop the consumption and serving of meat, alcohol and tobacco at the associated Sikh Centre.
